Planning Commission Meeting
Minutes – Wednesday, August 04, 2010
Page 5
Snelling Avenue – City-owned property
197
Staff recommended land use designation as ROW rather than current O (Office)
198
use.
199
Snelling Curve – City-owned property
200
Staff recommended land use designation as ROW rather than current
201
designation of MR (Medium Density Residential).
202
South McCarrons Boulevard – City-owned property
203
A revised map was provided as a bench handout, attached hereto and made a
204
part thereof, with recommended land use designation from LR (Low Density
205
Residential) to ROW.
206
South McCarrons Boulevard – City-owned property
207
Staff recommended land use designation as POS rather than LR (Low Density
208
Residential)
209
Centennial Drive – City-owned property
210
Staff recommended designation as W (Water Ponding) rather than the current LR
211
(Low Density Residential).
212
Mr. Lloyd noted his phone conversation from a resident with the City’s Public
213
Works Department, regarding the proposed designation; with no further concerns
214
following staff’s response clarifying the intent of the proposed action.
215
West Owasso Blvd – City-owned property
216
Staff recommended designation as POS rather than the current LR.
217
Brooks Avenue – City-owned property
218
Staff recommended designation as POS rather than current LR.
219
Discussion included why this parcel had not been sold by the City for LDR land
220
use; with staff responding that it was not a policy of the City to sell city-owned
221
parcels; proximity of a pathway and bicycle path cutting through the parcel and
222
sharing of its address with the adjacent park, and often considered as part of the
223
park already, but just not zoned appropriately at this time.
224
William Street – City-owned property
225
Staff recommended designation as ROW rather than the current LR.
226
Discussion included the small size of the parcel; possible future designation for
227
commercial use, but a ROW designation allowing adjacent property owners to
228
petition vacation; following staff’s review of how and why the parcel was acquired
229
by the City.
230
1129 – 1131 Roselawn Avenue – Apartment
231
Staff noted that, due to size of the parcel and number of current multi-tenant
232
units, designation needed to be corrected from LR to MR.
233
1330 County Road B - Business Property
234
Staff noted that the existing use, as an eye or dental clinic, suggested
235
recommended land use designation for NB (Neighborhood Business) rather than
236
the current designation of LR (Low Density Residential).
237
161 Elmer Street – Zoned B-1 in 1980’s
238
Mr. Paschke noted that this was a split property, with one Property Identification
239
(PID) number; and needed to be designated as CB (Community Business) rather
240
than the current MR (Medium Density Residential). Mr. Paschke advised that the
241
property had been zoned as such since the 1980’s, but that the PID search only
242
caught one of the parcels and respective zoning designations.
243
1935 Cleveland Avenue – private property
244
Mr. Paschke advised that the current designation of W (Water Ponding) needed
245
