EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL - HELD MAY 12, 1980 * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosevi11e, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall on Monday, May 12, 1980, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Kehr, Franke, Curley and Anderson and the following were absent: None Member Kehr moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION NO. 6950 WHEREAS, the Rosevi11e City Council adopted Resolution No. 6112 on June 24, 1974 and Resolution No. 6636 on April 10, 1978, regarding the appointment procedures to Advisory Boards, Commissions and Committees; and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to alter the appointment procedure; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolutions Nos. 6112 and 6636 hereby are recinded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council adopt the following resolution as a statement of policy in regard to the above named procedure. One hundred and twenty (120) days prior to expiration of a term on any Rosevi11e Board, Commission or Committee, the Council shall be advised of the pending vacancy and the attendance record of the individual whose term is expiring should that individual be eligible for reappointment. At that time the Council will consider the re- appointment of that individual. Should the Council determine that the individual merits reappointment that person will be contacted to deter- mine if he/she wishes to seek reappointment. If the incumbent does seek reappointment, the Council will consider that reappointment at the first regular Council meeting after ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the term. Should the incumbent not wish to be reappointed or should the Council determine that the individual does not merit reappointment, the Council will announce the vacancy and that applications will be accepted from all interested citizens of Rosevi11e ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the term. The appointment will then be made at the first regular Council meeting after thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the term.
