PARTIES <br /> This Agreement is entered into by the State of Minnesota acting <br /> through its Commissioner of Transportation, (State) , and the County of <br /> Ramsey, (County) , and the City of Roseville, (City) . <br /> RECITALS <br /> Minnesota Statutes Section 161 . 20 authorizes the Commissioner of <br /> Transportation to enter into agreements with any governmental authority <br /> for the purposes of constructing, maintaining and improving the Trunk <br /> Highway system. <br /> The State has determined that there is justification and it is in the <br /> public ' s best interest to remove the existing traffic control signal and <br /> install a new traffic control signal including street lights, interconnect <br /> and signing (Traffic Control Signal) at the locations set out in this <br /> Agreement in accordance with State plans, specifications and special <br /> provisions designated as State Project No. 6212-159 (T.H. 36=118, State Aid <br /> Project No' s . 062-650-009 and 160-020-023 , and City Project No. 10-22 . <br /> The City requests and the State agrees to the installation of an <br /> Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption System (EVP System) as a part of the new <br /> Traffic Control Signal installation. <br /> It is considered in the public ' s best interest for the State to <br /> provide a new cabinet and control equipment (State-furnished materials) to <br /> operate the new Traffic Control Signal . <br /> 96289R <br /> -2- <br />
