11111 transportation,the specifications of which shall be established by the <br /> Public Works Director. <br /> Noxious matter:Material which is capable of causing injury or <br /> malaise to living organisms or is capable of causing detrimental effect <br /> upon the health or the psychological,social or economic well-being <br /> of human beings. <br /> Nursery school:A public or private facility,licensed by the state,the <br /> principal function of which is to provide an educational experience <br /> outside of the family home for children of preschool age. <br /> Nursing home:A state-licensed establishment having <br /> accommodations for the continuous care of two or more invalid, <br /> infirm,aged convalescent patients,or disabled persons that are not <br /> related. <br /> 0 <br /> Office:Unless otherwise specified,office means the general use of a <br /> building for administrative,executive,professional,research,or similar <br /> organizations having only limited contact with the public.Office <br /> is characterized by a low proportion of vehicle trips attributable to <br /> visitors or clients in relationship to employees.Examples include,but <br /> are not limited to,firms providing architectural,computer software <br /> consulting,data management,academic instruction,engineering, <br /> interior design,graphic design,or legal services. <br /> • Office,medical or dental:An establishment principally engaged in <br /> providing therapeutic,preventative,corrective,healing and health- <br /> building treatment services on an outpatient basis by physicians, <br /> dentists and other practitioners.Typical uses include medical, <br /> chiropractic and dental offices and clinics. <br /> Office showroom:A facility in which up to 50%of the total floor <br /> area is utilized for the conduct of a business that involves the display <br /> and sale of goods or merchandise on the premises. <br /> Overlay district:A zoning district that encompasses one or more <br /> primary zoning districts or portions thereof and that imposes <br /> additional requirements or relaxes one or more standards required by <br /> the primary zoning district. <br /> Ordinary high water level:The point on the bank or shore up to <br /> which the presence and action of surface water is so continuous as to <br /> leave a distinctive mark such as by erosion,destruction or prevention <br /> of terrestrial vegetation,predominance of aquatic vegetation,or other <br /> easily recognized characteristic. <br /> Outdoor display:The display of goods for sale or rental outside of an <br /> enclosed building on a permanent or recurring basis. <br /> Outdoor sales events:A seasonal or occasional sale held on the <br /> sidewalk or other location outside a building. <br /> Outdoor storage:Permanent storage of goods,materials,equipment, <br /> or fleet or service vehicles outside of an enclosed building.Off-street <br /> • parking of customer or employee vehicles is not considered"outdoor <br /> storage." <br />
