Owner(of building or land):Any sole owner,part owner,joint • <br /> owner,tenant in common,joint tenant,or tenant by the entirety. <br /> P <br /> Parking facility:An area used for parking of customer or employee <br /> vehicles;includes parking lots and parking structures. <br /> Parking lot:A one-level,surfaced,open-to-the-air area used for <br /> parking vehicles. <br /> Parking space:A paved surface located in a permanently maintained <br /> area,either within or outside of a building,of sufficient size to store <br /> one automobile. <br /> Parking structure:A multi-level parking area,wherein one or more <br /> levels are supported above the lowest level,and is commonly called a <br /> parking garage or parking ramp. <br /> Pawn shop:Any business establishment operated by a Pawnbroker <br /> as defined in Chapter 311 of the Roseville City Code,in which pawn <br /> transactions take place. <br /> Permitted:Designates a use or structure which may be lawfully <br /> established in a particular district,provided it conforms with all <br /> requirements and regulations of the district in which it is located. <br /> Person:The word"person"shall include a corporation,firm, <br /> partnership,association,organization,and any other group acting <br /> as a unit as well as individuals.It shall also include an executor, • <br /> administrator,trustee,receiver or other representative appointed <br /> according to law.Whenever a violation of any section of the City <br /> Code is punishable by a penalty or fine,and whenever the word <br /> "person"is used in such section for which a penalty is imposed <br /> for such violation,"person"shall include partners or members of <br /> partnerships or associations,and as to corporations,shall include <br /> the officers,agents,or members thereof who are responsible for any <br /> violation of said section. <br /> Pervious pavement or pavers:Pavement or pavers that are designed <br /> and maintained to allow precipitation to infiltrate into the ground, <br /> in order to reduce the volume and velocity of stormwater runoff. <br /> Pervious pavement materials include pervious interlocking concrete <br /> paving blocks,concrete grid pavers,perforated brick pavers,and <br /> similar materials determined by the City Engineer to qualify. <br /> Photovoltaic system:An active solar energy system that converts <br /> solar energy directly into electricity. <br /> Place of assembly:A facility providing for the assembly of persons <br /> for interaction as a primary use,including community centers, <br /> and religious institutions.Place(s)of assembly do not include <br /> community education or art centers,schools,instructional centers, <br /> day care facilities,family day shelters,conservatories,convention <br /> centers,libraries,museums,residential dwellings,recreational and <br /> entertainment facilities,theaters,or social service distribution <br /> facilities which fall under separate definitions in this Code. <br /> Plant nursery:See greenhouse. • <br />
