R9P 4 SEVILLE Very shortly, the project to reconstruct Dale Street between County Road C and S. Owasso Blvd will begin. This project consists of the complete reconstruction of the street, including watermain replacement, sanitary sewer repair, construction of infiltration trenches, sidewalk, and street. Before the project starts, we wanted to provide you with some information. The first thing the contractor will work on is underground utility repair and replacement. This work will take about 6 weeks to complete. A full schedule is not available at this time. Once it is available, it will be posted on the City's website. We anticipate that this work will commence in May. All work should be completed by October 14, 2011 We look forward to working with you on this project. Private Driveway Work When your street is reconstructed, certain private construction services will be offered to you by the City's contractor. These include: Changes to your driveway, including widening or replacing /changing existing driveway pavement. Sanitary sewer service replacement: Repair of a service that has had backup problems. The cost of this work would be funded 100% by you. If you are interested in either of these services, please complete and return the enclosed form. We would like your response regarding sewer repair and driveways by Friday, May 6, 2011. We recommend that you contact other driveway contractors to obtain comparison quotes. Access: Contractors are required to keep the roads passable and provide driveway access whenever possible. The construction project will be staged so that residents and emergency vehicles will be able to drive on the street at all times. If you have special access needs, please let us know. Dale Street Reconstruction Project Number 2 April 13, 2011 Sanitary Sewer main Repair. Private Systems/ Gardens Over the course of the project the contractor will be digging up most of the City's right- of- way. If you have underground sprinklers, electrical for yard lights, perennial gardens, or invisible fences installed within 20 or 25 feet of the edge of the pavement on Dale St, it is likely that they are in the City's right- of- way. Removal and reinstallation of these items is the responsibility of the property owner. We recommend that you mark the location of underground wires or sprinklers immediately. Please remove these items from the city right- of- way before May 6, 2011. If these items are not removed, the contractor will damage them when they start construction. The City will not pay to repair or replace these systems or gardens.
