R9SEVILLE
Volume 1
March 31, 2011
Project Summary
As part of the City of Roseville's ongoing street
maintenance program, streets which have curb and
gutter but have a poor driving surface are improved
using a mill and overlay process. This process
usually consists of grinding all or a portion of the
existing surface off the roadway and replacing it
with a new blacktop driving surface. As part of the
process, sunken or badly deteriorated curb and
gutter will be replaced. The following street
segments are included in this year's construction
contract:
Segment 1: Municipal State Aid Mill Overlay
County Road C2 (Snelling Ave to Hamline Ave)
Parker Avenue (Lexington Ave to Victoria Street)
Oakcrest Avenue (Cleveland Ave to Prior Ave)
Segment 2: Roseville Street Mill Overlay:
Aladdin Street (Rose Place to Cul -de -sac)
Cohansey Blvd (Crescent Lane to Irene Street)
Elmer Street (Wiliam St to Woodbridge St)
Evergreen Court (Skillman Ave to cul- de- sac)
Fisk Street (County Road C to Rose Place)
Garden Avenue (Hamline Ave to Lexington Ave)
Sherren St (Femwood Ave to Lexington Ave
Hythe Street (Draper Street to Roselawn Ave)
Rose Place (Fisk Street to Avon Street)
There will be no assessments for this mill and
overlay work. The cost to perform this pavement
maintenance is funded by existing City funds. A
schedule for this work is not available at this time.
We anticipate that this work will commence in May.
All work should be completed by September 2011.
Mill and Overlay projects typically take between 3
to 5 weeks to complete.
Don't see your street?
If your street is not on the list above, you are
receiving this newsletter because this project will
impact how you access your neighborhood. Private
driveway and sanitary sewer work is only offered to
those property owners whose driveway or sanitary
sewer service is located on a street being tom up.
2011 Pavement
Management Project
Milling of existing pavement on Centre Pointe Dr.
Aladdin Street Water Quality Improvements
The runoff from Aladdin Street and the surrounding
hard surfaces drains directly into the wetland at the
south end of the cul- de- sac. The work on this
segment includes the construction of a rain garden
on the park side of the south end of the street. This
work will add about 2 weeks to the construction
schedule for this street segment.
Evergreen Court Watermain
The watermain on Evergreen Court will be
completely replaced prior to pavement
rehabilitation. This additional utility work will
require mailbox relocation, curb removal, and
temporary water system set up. This work will add
about 3 weeks to the construction schedule for this
street segment.
Questions?
As this project progresses, we will keep you
informed through direct mailing and the City
website.
