10

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else?

MR. ADRIAN KELLER, 1440 Belmont Lane: I'm for the improve-
ment. Belmont has trees, mature trees, a lot of them are
split, a poor grade of elnl tree. They'll probably be gone in
about five years anyway. I don't like the idea of parking on one
side of the street, but those trees are not worth saving.
Not the same on Eldridge, but I wonder if someone else wants to
speak from Belmont about the trees.

MRS. ~~RY WUSSLER, 1433 Belmont: My husband was a petitioner.
I think the trees will last longer than five years. We haven't
lost any this year. They took a bunch down. If you have no
parking, does that mean nobody? Then, if that's the case, put
it over on Curley Keller's side of the street.

MR. JOSEPH KAZEK: As long as Mrs. Kath brought it up, it does
show on our map, your showing catch basins to be constructed at
the corner of Eldridge and I believe they're there already.

MR. HONCHELL: All we're trying to do is make slight
alterations down there. There would be minor-work there.Right
now there's no specific radius of the basins there. It's typical
if you do road work you have to adjust the catch basins.
We're not looking to do extensive drain work. (inaudible)
specific storm sewer assessment on Eldridge like we're looking at
on Belmont.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else? Anyone else? If not, I will
close the hearing.

We still have two projects and each one requires three votes.
We will make a motion on one and then the other.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE then introduced the following resolu-
tion and moved its adoption:

Resolution No. 7074

RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF IMPROVEMENT NO. P-80-27
UNDER AND PURSUANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville,
Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes 1961, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a
public hearing on the proposed construction of Improvement No.
P-80-27 consisting of the installation of concrete curb and
gutter, bituminous paving and necessary appurtenances on
Eldridge Avenue from Hamline Avenue to Pascal Street and Pascal
Street from Eldridge Avenue to Belmont Lane, as described in
the Notice of Hearing at a cost presently estimated at $128,232.93,
and substantially in accordance with the preliminary report as
to the feasibility thereof which is now on file in the office
