<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL - HELD <br /> <br />November 18, 1980 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City <br /> <br />Council of the City of Roseville met in regular session at the <br /> <br />City Hall on Monday, the 17th day of November, 1980, at 7:30 <br /> <br />o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos, <br />Councilmen Curley, Kehr and Franke. Vacant: One <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Franke introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7076 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR EMERGENCY <br />STORM DRAINAGE WORK <br />PROJECTS ST-80-7 and ST-80-8 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville currently has a severe <br />problem regarding storm drainage adjacent to railroad tracks in <br />two locations, and <br />WHEREAS, the railroad company has contacted the city <br />requesting that the work be done immediately, so they can be <br />inplace prior to next spring's rainfall, and <br />WHEREAS, the lateness of the construction season does <br />not permit compliance with the normal requirement that the bid <br />be advertised before contracts are let, and <br />~JHEREAS, the firm of Lametti and Sons, Incorporated has <br />offered to perform this work for a total of $ 22,390.00 <br />and the council believes that this work will be competent, and <br />that the price asked is reasonable and that the new facilities <br />will provide an adequate protection in regard to storm drainage <br />to meet the present emergency. <br />
