10

the people who take the petition out, but we would rather that
it be oriented (inaudible) that it came from the citizens and
not from the Council. But as I said, when next year comes, we will
be building several streets in Roseville and they won't be
all that far away (inaudible) it isn't going to do the whole
thing in one day so it's not that hard to move one block of
equipment, (inaudible) and bring in the back-up into the one
remaining, so there will be quite a bit of street work in the City
of Roseville next year on the basis of the hearings that we held on
Monday. We were here for six and a half hours Monday, so there's
going to be much street work done in the City.

MR. KETELSEN: A practical question - how long would a street
such as this take to do? I assume the street will be (inaudible)
closed down.

~m. HONCHELL: The intention - here we're not proposing to
tear the street out, but work on top of and adjacent to the street.
It may take as long as 90 days, but out of that if you have nine
days that you're effectively hindered I would be surprised. Work
would be done, but you would be able to get in and out of your
driveways and go up and down the street. I'm not saying there
would be no noise and dust. It should have a relatively minor
impact so far as using your driveway.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else? Anyone else on Patton Road?
If not, I will close the hearing.

COUNCILMAN KEHR then introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:

Resolution No. 7078

RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF IMPROVEMENT NO. P-80-23
UNDER AND PURSUANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville,
Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes 1961, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a
public hearing on the proposed construction of Improvement No.
P-80-23 consisting of the installation of bituminous paving,
concrete curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances on Patton
Road from Millwood Street northerly to Stanbridge Street, as
described in the Notice of Hearing at a cost presently estimated
at $56,222, and substantially in accordance with the preliminary
report as to the feasibility thereof which is now on file in the
office of the City Manager; and having considered the views of all
interested persons and being fully advised in the premises, the
Council does hereby determine and order that said improvement shall
be constructed and financed, and special assessments shall be levied
therefor, pursuant to said Chapter 429, and that the area proposed
to be assessed therefor shall include the property as described
