3 Patton Road. I do like curbs and gutters, but only as a complete neighborhood project, but to single out one street in the whole neighborhood is absolutely ridiculous. Apparently the majority of the people on the street and also the City Council could care less about the premium price they will pay for a single street as opposed to a neighborhood project. I honestly think this could have gone much smoother if the people who petitioned, or the fellow who instigated this project, could have at least had the courtesy to inform the people on corner lots. I was informed that my house was too far for them to reach me. MAYOR DEMOS: I would like to respond and say that once the City Council has received a petition containing the names of 35% of the property owners welre required to hold a public hearing by law. MR. HERMAN MOHL, 2949 Manson: Thatls right across the street from Kathy LaMere and I'm in full accord with her paper and her reading of the information that she has just given us. I have given this paper to Mr. Andre. I will read it so you have our standpoint here. Our property is a corner lot - No. 6 - facing Patton Road on one side, ~~nson on the other, and Millwood in the front. We have owned and occupied this house for nineteen and a half years, paying yearly taxes on the property, and our house was built at the start of this beautiful neighborhood. We're very much opposed to this suggested proposal as it would have an adverse effect on the appearance of our property. Just along that line, the curb on this 2949 which stopped half way along the line, we would have a curb right to that point which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of, but not a curb on Manson or Millwood and I will take issue with this map that Millwood runs straight to Highway 8. It doesn't come with that curve that you have in the map so that map is incorrect. It's our opinion that if this proposal included the balance of the streets in that area of Roseville, that is at least all streets west of Old Highway 8, it would be more beneficial to the City as a whole rather than just a few residents living only in this one block. I would expect a wider area of improvement would average out as more economical and satisfy a greater number of taxpayers. We were not included in this petition. There's probably a good reason why because the center of the block here wants it. But with the amount of footage we have on Patton Road we feel consideration should be given to the following respectfully submitted proposals: Consider a larger range of taxpayers for this proposal. Have curb corne to our driveway - our driveway is in the middle of Millwood - and discontinue curbing at the line of George Colby's residence from Stanbridge to Millwood. Colby is No. 7 - we're No. 6 and we hope the City Council will come by (inaudible) and road area and personally see yourselves. You have it here, but that map is not
