4

correct - and see that the project should be rejected in its present
form, and we feel it's important not to cater to the wishes of a
few people in Roseville. I think it's the most ridiculous thing I
have ever heard of.

MAYOR DEMOS: Where would your driveway be?

MR. MOHL: Millwood comes straight here. This branches off on to
Patton. Old Highway 8 comes here. Our driveway is here, and as far as
the measurements go from the driveway to the Colby line, which is
their south line, I took a measurement today and it's 129 feet from
my driveway to a line straight here on Millwood it's 35 feet from
this point here straight on Millwoodit's94 feet. I just can't see
anyone voting for a curbing with a situation of that kind. I would
have curbing up to this point here. I would have no paving over here,
no paving on Manson, so I thank you very much and I'm very sincere
about that, and very angry too.

COUNCILMAN KEHR: How would you feel if the curb and gutters
went all the way around that cunedown to the other corner of your
lot?

MR. MOHL: I would feel much better about it but I'm still
not - I think more people should be taken into consideration in a
project of this kind b~cause when a group of say nine people - which I
don't know the actual number - but I think it's 9 people - 35%
against, 64 percent for I think it's high time that we just look I.at
this very carefully. Would we be doing some work on Manson? We're
right in this pie shaped form, but if anybody votes on that I will
question their ability to judge.

COUNCILMAN KEHR: Mr. Honchell, would that create any hardship to
bring that around and cover his entire property? It seems rather
ridiculous to stop the curb and gutter in the middle of his lot. I
would object to that myself.

MR. HONCHELL: The problem with bringing it around is you're
doing plowing and will be plowing on Millwood and be coming
straight through. You could bring it to Manson. You could not do the
paving all the way to Manson without incorporating pieces of Millwood
right in the middle of the Millwood block, so one alternative would
be to put the curb and gutter there, but not do the paving. We
thought if we did that he'd have to be assessed for the curb and he
wouldn't be getting the full benefit such as the rest of the people up
and down Patton by having a roadway and curb.

MAYOR DEMOS: Would we have to make a full assessment or just the
curb and gutter? Let me ask another question. That's an odd lot.
What is the frontage lot and which would be the side?

MR. HONCHELL: The property along Patton is his side. If the
full length of Manson would be done he'd be assessed 13 feet or 12.
If we went half way he'd have something like five or six feet,
maybe as much as 7.
