12

MR. HONCHELL: Ultimately?
MRS. CUSHING: Yes.

MR. HONCHELL: Right now it works its way northerly and there's
an eight-inch (inaudible)

MRS. CUSHING: Where are you going to take it?

MR. HONCHELL: It comes down Brenner, comes down Wood1yn,
Clarmar, gets on the west side of the frontage road, enters an
18-inch pipe that's about where the pencil is, and goes a little
ways north where there's a 24 inch pipe, turns and goes west
across Snelling and there's a low wetland in that area that it
filters through, and eventually gets into Lake Johanna.

MR. LEONARD LUTA: Just a quick question. If this project
should go through, how soon will it be that it's set on to the
taxes? That's usually done as soon as the bonds are sold.

r1R. POPOVICH: If we hold our assessment hearing next fall
it will start in 1982.

MR. LUTA: In other words, if you were to sell your house -
I'm getting ready to sell and I want a deadline. Once it goes
on they have to be paid.

MR. POPOVICH: You can pay over a 15-year period.

MR. LUTA: When I sell, don't I have to pay in full?

MR. POPOVICH: It depends on the deal you make with the
buyer.

MR. LUTA: It's not a fixed deal?

MAYOR DEMOS: You can negotiate that.

MR. LUTA: How about the lending agencies?

MR. POPOVICH: It's negotiable with you.

MR. LUTA: It's negotiable but they have the money to
lend.

MAYOR DEMOS: If this were done in 1981 (inaudible)

MR. POPOVICH: If we get the work done next year so we can
hold the assessment hearing in the fall of 1981, then the first
assessment comes in 1982. Normally we don't hold the assessment
hearing until the work is done. If it isn't done we might hold
it over to 1982 for collection in 1983. Then we have to borrow
one more year of interest in the bond issue to get over that.

MR. LUTA: At the very earliest, if it happens in 1981, will
that come on the 1981 taxes, due in 1982?
