15

try to determine how much water goes to where to help size the
pipes. Again, those are not precise lines, but general lines
of demarcation.

MR. MASON: My question then, contrary to all of the other
storm sewers on there, on Arona, Simpson, midway you have
storm sewers on a heavy line which would be the high point.
The water collects on both ends, not the center.

MR. HONCHELL: I'd like to correct myself. (inaudible)
that's right, in the area just about where it says D which you
indicated on Arena, that was an area where we were trying to
intercept the water as it drains northerly, and since we were
going to try to intercept the water we had a choice of taking it
northerly to Brenner or southerly to Lydia. We felt with the
ponding particularly existing on the other side of Snelling that
it would be preferable to take the water to the south and into
those ponds and so, in this case, it would be a general demarca-
tion of land that drains to those catch basins which then in turn
drain south. The actual slopes of Asbury and Arona continue to
the north but we wish to intercept the water half way along and,
in this case, we intercepted and took it south. Generally speaking,
it's the high water line demarcation.

~mYOR DEMOS: Anyone else? Any other questions? Anyone
else wish to be heard on this subject? If not, I will close
it for this .eveningand, as I stated before, there was an error
in the publication and you will receive a new notice for the
January 26 meeting and a Notice will be mailed.

~ffi. POPOVICH: Can we have an offic~al motion to move it
to the 26th?

COUNCILMAN Curley then introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:

Resolution No. 7079

RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND PROVIDING
FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT NO. ST-80-22

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville as
follows:

l. By resolution adopted July l4, 1980, the Council has
directed the City Public Works Director to prepare a preliminary
report as to the feasibility of a proposed improvement in the
area bounded by a line 300 feet south of Millwood Avenue on the
south, Glenhi11 Road on the north, Snelling Avenue on the west,
and a line 400 feet east of Hamline Avenue on the east by the
installation of storm sewer and necessary appurtenances. The
Public Works Director was also directed to include in the report
the estimated cost of the proposed improvement and as to whether
such improvement should best be made as proposed or in connection
with some other improvement. The preliminary report and cost
