13

MRS.JOHN ULSETH, 437 Minnesota: One thing that bothers
me is with this parking on the north side of Minnesota. Up
toward Rice Street we have the Roseville crossing and these
apartment houses who last year thought they owned half the
street. Will they be allowed to park all the way down Minnesota?

MR. HONCHELL: If it's marked for parking they would be allowed
to park on the north side of the street. They could park all the
way to Western. If we find that is a hazard and not desired
by the neighborhood, the technique would be for the people to
again get in touch with the Traffic Safety Committee and we go
out and review the situation and, if necessary, ban parking for
the first 300 feet or whatever is appropriate.

MRS. ULSETH: I would be opposed to the bicycle path. I
don't think it's necessary.

MR. NOVAK: I'm also opposed to the bicycle path.

MR. JOHN HILL, 304 Minnesota: I'm opposed to the bicycle
path at that end of the street, mainly because of the (inaudible)
down there, and I don't really feel the pedestrian traffic
would flow down that bicycle path to the park for the expense it
would be to put it in.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else?

MRS.TED TOWNSLEY, 350 Minnesota: I oppose it tOG. All
the people come from the other end where there is no path.

MAYOR DEMOS: I said today I did not understand why we were
providing a bike path to bring the people from Little Canada
(inaudible) .

MR. EUGENE NOVAK, 204 Minnesota: I'd like to oppose the
whole project.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else? If not, I will close this hearing.

COUNCILMAN KEHR then introduced the following resolu-
tion and moved its adoption:

Resolution No. 7080

RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF IMPROVEMENT NO. P-80-10
EXCLUDING BIKE PATH
UNDER AND PURS UANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville,
Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota
