Mr. Petersen also <br />528 reported that he had posted this event on the GLWMO website. Mr. Petersen further advised that <br />529 he had met with GRG staff to discuss future partnering opportunities for applicable projects, <br />530 given the group's expertise in rallying the community on such projects, and in leveraging grant <br />531 funds through the Clean Water Legacy (CWL) and LCCMR Grant funding. Mr. Petersen <br />532 advised that his initial purpose in meeting with the group was to discuss the possibility of <br />533 partnering on a short-term wetland restoration project (wetland south of Co. Rd. C just east of <br />534 Victoria St.) utilizing CWL Grant funds. It was decided, however, to delay that potential project <br />535 request until additional information was available regarding the wetland and its export of <br />536 phosphorous into Lake Owasso. <br />537 <br />538 Other Information <br />539 Chair Pro Tem Eckman announced an upcoming full -day MN Native Plant Society seminar on <br />540 lake vegetation at the Bell Museum, and her intent to attend. Member Westerberg advising that <br />541 he intended to attend as well. General discussion included a status report from Mr. Petersen to <br />542 the Board on the Lake Wabasso weir (yet to be initiated repairs); Len Ferrington suggesting that <br />543 the Board show their willingness to advocate for the concerns of residents regarding this weir <br />544 and contact Ramsey County regarding the anticipated completion of this project. <br />545 <br />546 Action Step <br />547 Mr. Petersen advised that he would contact Mr. Noonan at Ramsey County Public Works to see <br />548 if an update was available on the Lake Wabasso weir; and an anticipated start date for its repair. <br />549 <br />550 <br />12 <br />
