May 10, 2011 <br /> Item 3a <br /> Program Planners Subcommittee <br /> Program Planning Roseville Human Rights <br /> Committee Report <br /> �� , Commission <br /> Lc �4 Meeting <br /> Report prepared on liJ of <br /> May 3, 2011 �-.fi May 10, 2011 <br /> The Committee met on April 26, 2011 , at the Coffee House <br /> (mezzanine level) at the Roseville Public Library. <br /> Three of the four Committee members were present: Gary <br /> Grefenberg (chair), Kaing Thao, and Jill Brisbois. <br /> The agenda for the meeting was as follows: <br /> • assessment and review of candidates for the Civic Engagement Task Force; <br /> • development of a recommendation to full Commission on a Gay Civil <br /> Rights Program (Project 515 or Outfront Minnesota's Proposal for a <br /> Domestic Partners Registry); and <br /> • other items committee members may raise. <br /> A complete copy of the meeting notes are attached for your review. <br /> Committee Recommendations <br /> 1) The Commission previously having previously adopted the <br /> formation, scope, and tasks of the Civic Engagement Task Force, <br /> the Committee recommends the following changes and additions <br /> to said Task Force Work Outline: <br /> a. All persons having applied as of the committee meeting being qualified, the <br /> Committee recommends that task force membership be by self-selection; and <br /> further recommends that all interested persons be invited to a Task Force <br /> informational/organizational meeting to be held on May 17th, with applications <br /> being closed shortly thereafter. <br /> b. Appointments to the Task Force by standing city commissions, the Roseville <br /> Citizens League, and the Roseville chapter of the League of Women Voters, need <br /> not complete an application, but will automatically become members of the task <br /> force by appointment of their respective bodies. <br /> c. The task force shall have the part time assistance of a task force coordinator <br /> who shall be a graduate with a degree in urban planning or related discipline; the <br /> coordinator shall receive a stipend of no more than $300 ($250 from Bremer <br /> Program Planning Committee Report to the May 10. 2011, Roseville Human Rights Commission_ 1 _ <br /> Meeting <br />
