ruJi

.-
---7/ / ":)
/ 0v

Extract of Minutes of Meeting
of City Council
City of Roseville
Ramsey County, Minnesota

June 1, 1981

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting

of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was held

in the.City Hall in said City on Monday, June 1, 1981, at 7:30

o'clock p.m.

The following members were present: Mayor Demos and Council-

men Curley, Kehr, Franke and Johnson; and the following were

absent: None.

Also present were James F. Andre, City Manager; Roger Jensen,

City Attorney's office; Charles Honchell, City Public Works Direc-

. ,,.

tor; and Peter S. Popovich, City Bond Consultant.

MAYOR DEMOS: The next hearing is P-8l-8, Transit from
Cohansey to Western, paving, curb and gutter.

MR..- ANDRE: I have the Certificate of Mailing and the Affi-
davit of Publication on file.

MR. HONCHELL: Once again, this particular project is the
result of a petition, this one 78.4% signed. Much in light of the
'."ast project, this is in the same neighborhood - here's Cohansey,
~here's Transit - going from Cohansey to Western. This particular
road is also 30 to 32 feet wide. It has a high point roughly one-
fourth of the way down. From Western Avenue the water drains in
both directions toward Cohansey and toward Western. There are
existing storm facilities available at each end to collect the
water. There are no anticipated improvements incorporated into this
project. The grades are somewhat rolling and a little bit steep
at this end, but not really severe on the roadway.' Again, there
are no major driveway problems anticipated, no major problems
anticipated in meeting the front yards. There are no known loca-
tions where there should be any trees or bushes impacted by this
project and no known specific base location problems or problems
with the underground utilities. They will be checked before the
work would be done, if the project is approved.

As in the case of the previous project, it is anticipated
that this would be a 32 foot wide street with concrete curb and
gutter, centered in the right-of-way, with a residential design
