At the 4/24/00 session, I gave some examples of fine
structures in various cities. We have since contacted 23
cities (some mentioned in the first survey). Not all of the
cities have responded. Nine of the responders give at least a
$500 fine to the license holder for the first offense. Only
Woodbury gives a warning on the first offense. Woodbury
has mandatory server training. The fines, though higher than
staff recommendations last month, sometime come with
suspensions. I have included a short summary of Roseville's
involvement in fines for license holder violations. The basic
state statute allows cities to fine up to $2,000.00 and
suspend up to 60 days. We are and have been much lower
that structure.
Rra o. f i tS
.5c15 • w/4
JA. °?-) 44S/t'ea'r iP1 ors/,,,
bes-t week
