Announcements <br />Commissioner Kennedy said she was handing in her resignation from the Commission, citing work <br />and family commitments that limit her time to volunteer. She said that even though she did not <br />represent the school district, she brought a lot of knowledge and she suggested the Commission <br />consider requesting that the Council have a school representative to be a part of the Commission. <br />The Commission agreed to pass that along to the Internal Affairs Subcommittee. <br />Commissioner Grefenberg, on behalf of the Commission, thanked Commissioner Kennedy and <br />Commissioner Barb Yates for their work. <br />Curti said that she had just learned that Roseville's essay contest winner Sophia Miliotis took first <br />place in the statewide contest. <br />Commissioner Kennedy said her daughter recently took first place in the Shoreview poster contest. <br />She suggested Roseville consider the poster contest as a way to engage younger students. <br />Commissioner Grefenberg said the HRC that the City Council is going through the 2012 budget, <br />and Commissioners might want to express to them their thoughts about the current budget. <br />Commissioner Grefenberg said the HRC will meet with the City Council in July, so they should be <br />thinking about things they want to discuss. <br />Curti told Commissioners that the City was going to post the Commission packet on the city's <br />website, with the goal to having it posted by the Thursday before the Commission meeting. <br />9. Adjournment <br />Commissioner Brisbois moved and Commissioner Thao seconded motion to adjourn at <br />approximately 7:55 p.m. Motion prevailed. <br />
