Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,June 13, 2011 <br /> Page 7 <br /> Councilmember McGehee suggested that this information be published in the <br /> City's newsletter; which was duly noted by City Manager Malinen. <br /> Mayor Roe suggested an amendment to Page 2, Section 410.03 (Prohibitions), <br /> lines 58—70, Item D.2.f;making Item f a separate Item #3. <br /> Councilmembers and staff concurred; and Councilmember Pust accepted Mayor <br /> Roe's suggestion as a friendly amendment to her original motion. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Johnson; Pust; Willmus; McGehee; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Mayor Roe thanked the City's PWET Commission for their research, work in <br /> drafting an ordinance, and for their subsequent recommendation. <br /> b. Consider an Ordinance Amending Title 7, Chapter 706, Forestation Control <br /> (now Urban Forest Management) and Title 2, Chapter 203.04, Duties and <br /> Functions of the Parks and Recreation Commission Amending Forestation <br /> Control <br /> Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke summarized the proposed ordin- <br /> ance, as revised since the last hearing before the City Council, and as detailed in <br /> the RCA dated June 13, 2011. <br /> Discussion included responsibility for upkeep of trees and plants on public rights- <br /> of-way (e.g. boulevards), with clarification that plantings could be done with City <br /> approval and permitting,but not without that approval. <br /> Pust moved, Willmus seconded, enactment of Ordinance No. 1410 (Attachment <br /> A) entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Title 7, Chapter 706, Forestation Control <br /> (Now Urban Forest Management) and Title 2, Section 203.04, Duties and Func- <br /> tions of the Parks and Recreation Commission;" and enactment of Ordinance <br /> Summary No. 1410 (Attachment B, entitled, Amending Title 7, Chapter 706, <br /> Forestation Control (Now Urban Forest Management) and Title 2, Section 203.04, <br /> Duties and Functions of the Parks and Recreation Commission." <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Johnson; Pust; Willmus; McGehee; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Councilmember Johnson questioned if any Emerald Ash Borers had been found in <br /> Roseville; with Mr. Brokke responding negatively. <br />
