Draft <br />Resolution <br />to establish a <br />Grass Lake Water Management Organization <br />Standing Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) <br />v.5.13.11 <br />Whereas, The Grass Lake Water Management Organization (GLWMO) Board of <br />Commissioners will adopt a 3` Generation Watershed Management Plan (Plan) in December <br />2011 and the Plan calls for the establishment of a formal Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) <br />to provide consult and advise to the Board on matters of technology and the management of water <br />resources under the care of the Board; and <br />Whereas, The Joint Powers Agreement between the Cities of Shoreview and Roseville that <br />establishes the GLWMO authorizes the Board to create standing committees to assist the Board; <br />and <br />Whereas, The GLWMO will partner with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to conduct a <br />study of impaired and protected waters to determine total maximum daily limits of non -point <br />source pollutants and this study will require input from a TAC; and <br />Whereas, The Board shall determine membership, duration of membership, and provide direction <br />to the Committee, and <br />Whereas, Committee membership shall be approved by the GLWMO Board and may include: <br />GLWMO technical staff; <br />Public Works Directors from the Cities of Shoreview and Roseville; <br />Park and Recreation Department representatives from the cities of Shoreview and <br />Roseville; <br />Representatives from the Ramsey County Public Works and Parks and Recreation <br />Departments; <br />Technical staff representative from the Ramsey Conservation District; <br />DNR Metro- Waters Div. technical staff; <br />BWSR technical staff; <br />Other Federal, State, and Local government agency technical staff as requested by the <br />GLWMO Board; <br />Other resources as requested by the Board; and <br />Whereas, The TAC shall be "chaired" by the administrator of the GLWMO or other Board <br />approved representative; and <br />
