Youth Commissioner Appointment/Reappointment <br /> 275 <br /> 276 Commissioners Seth Josephson and Anthony Barrett indicated that they have graduated and are <br /> 277 going out of state to college so will not continue on the HRC. Commissioner Marie Siliciano just <br /> 278 completed her sophomore year and is interested in continuing on the HRC. <br /> 279 <br /> 280 City Manager Malinen noted that the HRC could recommend either that youth continue or open the <br /> 281 process to new applicants. <br /> 282 <br /> 283 Commissioner Grefenberg said that since school was out of session it would be difficult to recruit <br /> 284 students. He moved and Commissioner Brisbois seconded motion to have Youth Commissioner <br /> 285 terms expire in August rather than July. Motion prevailed unanimously. <br /> 286 <br /> 287 Commissioner Grefenberg spoke to the importance of having HRC signs at the Rose Parade. He <br /> 288 moved and Commissioner Brisbois seconded motion to allocate up to $100 for signs. Motion <br /> .............. <br /> 289 prevailed unanimously. <br /> 290 <br /> 291 Commissioner Thao left the meeting at approximately 8:30. <br /> 292 <br /> 293 Since there was no longer a quorum, meeting adjourned. <br /> 294 <br /> 295 The remaining commissioners continued discussion, agreeing to meet on July 12 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 296 <br /> 297 Commissioner Grefenberg distributed a map showing the location of participants in the Civic <br /> 298 Engagement Task Force. <br /> 299 <br /> 300 City Manager Malinen asked Commissioners to notify Carolyn Curti about whether they plan to <br /> 301 participate in the Rosefest Parade. He said four essay contest winners will participate. <br /> 302 <br /> 303 He also reminded Commissioners of the July 18 meeting with the City Council. <br /> 304 <br /> 305 Commissioner Grefenberg announced that the Civic Engagement Task Force was meeting the <br /> 306 following evening at 6:30 p.m. <br /> ..... ...... <br />
