past, that 25% of it be assessed, that would work out to $10.42
per front foot. The same comments that I made on the previous
improvement would apply here. We would recommend that it be
done over a ten year period of time because the City is picking
up so much of the cost of this particular improvement. If it
was done this year, the assessments would commence over a ten
year period with one-tenth beginning in 1983.

MAYOR DEMOS: Are there any written communications?

MR. ANDRE: There are none.

MAYOR DEMOS: I will open this hearing and ask that anyone
that wishes to be heard come to the microphone, give his or her
name and the address of the property to which they're referring.
Is there anyone on Patton Road?

MRS. DELORIS BEVACQUA, 3065 Patton Road: A petition went
around about four years ago and my husband was against it. I
guess I feel the same way about it. I really don't see any
reason for improving this. I feel it's fine the way it is.
It's a safe street and everything else.

COUNCILMAN JOHNSON: Do you have any information as to -
this isa 50% petition .

MRS. BEVACQUA: I have no idea how many

COUNCILMAN JOHNSON: Nobody took around a negative petition.
You don't know if the other 50% are for or against this?

MRS. BEVACQUA: This was about four years ago. They
weren't for it then.

COUNCILMAN JOHNSON: How about this one?

MRS. BEVACQUA: I have no idea.

MAYOR DEMOS: Is there anyone else on Patton?

MR. ARTHUR FRIDAY, 3045 Patton Road: In response to your
question, Mr. Johnson - we were out of the City at the time the
petition was presented so I did not have the opportunity to
sign it. However, I would be in favor of it, which would in-
crease your percentage a little bit.

MRS. SHARON JENSEN, 2523 Standbridge Avenue: I guess we
feel that eventually all the roads in the City are going to be
done and our main objection to it now is that last year another
portion of Patton Road was improved. This year you want to do
Patton Road and Brenner. Lydia Avenue is not improved;
Stanbridge Avenue is not improved; Manson, which runs around
the corner, is not improved, nor was there a petition. I

3
