heard from my" neighbors - those who were home - that they did not
sign the petition when it went around. They were opposed to it.
We did not sign the petition. I guess everyone feels that if
you're going to do it, the whole thing should be done at once.
Sitting on a corner, we're going to be there in construction
four different times probably.

COUNCILMAN JOHNSON: Your objection is more to the sequence
of it.

MRS. JENSEN: We're objecting to it at this time, but I
think if you're going to do it, I think it should all be done
at once.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: We would like to. We would rather
have the people come in and petition to have it done.

MRS. JENSEN: I'm also saying, in regard to the petition,
that those of us that were at home at the time and had the
opportunity, did not sign the petition. So you have people
that were at home. I know several people were approached two
or three times in order to have their signatures put on the
petition.

11AYOR DEMOS: Anyone else on Patton Road? If not, I will
close this hearing.

COUNCILMAN KEHR: I would like to ask Mr. Drown a question.
About two-thirds of the way up, to the left, right at the curve
there - you said there were several steep driveways. Is that
correct?

MR. DROWN: Comparatively steep, yes.

COUNCILMAN KEHR: And you were going to raise - are the
driveways steep on both sides of Patton Road?

MR. DROWN: They are more steep on the' west side than on
the east side.

COUNCILMAN KEHR: More on the west. So when you raise
the road, how is that going to affect the other drives?

MR. DROWN: Obviously it will make their driveways some-
what less steep as well. That sort of limits the amount that
we can raise the roadway.

COUNCILHAN KEHR: In other words, you won't have a flat
driveway or a dip in the driveway as a result of this.

MR. DROm~: No, there won't be a dip.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: (Inaudible). She's talking about
doing Stanbridge, from Patton Road to Lydia.

4
