There has been no new appointment to that pos:ition. Hr. Ralph <br />Hunt is the Civil Defense Director for Arden Hills. <br /> <br />llr. Henry Crepeau. <br /> <br />l:ayor Ashbach reported on the 1957 aD~ual village budget, and the proposed <br />1958 budget, which is to have Council approval by SepteIlber 30, 1957. The <br />Hayor stated th8.t to date our village roads have been oil surfaced, but that <br />perhaps the time has come to consider a plan to put on amore permanent <br />surface on SODe of the roads. He suggested ~ possible plan for financing <br />the project of the village paying a certain portion, and the restdents <br />.owning adjoining property betng assessed for a portion of the cost. <br /> <br />No action Has taken on the request to lower Edgewater Ave. Mayor Ashbach <br />"ill check into the possj_bili ty of getting a reduction on the proposed cost <br />of the pro:tject by salvaging some of the material that vould be removed. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stromquist presented the administrative ~~d general proposed 1958 <br />budget. The propesed budget allOiled public office hours for the Clerk <br />at the Village Hall tI'To (2) half days a \leek from March 1 thru December, <br />if needed. <br />
