Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Stanley Olmen, <br />John Hollanhorst, E. Gray Henderson and Ronald HerrIck. <br />Absent: None. <br />Also Present: Clerk Administrator LorraIne Stromquist, Attorney <br />Vincent P. Courtney, Engineer Donald Lund, MaIntenance <br />Supervisor Everett Beecher, Building Inspector Clay Kelley <br />(9;30 p.m.) and Assistant Clerk, AdministratIon Dorothy <br />Zehm. <br /> <br />called to order by Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., at <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of May 25, 1970, were <br />approved as submitted. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VillAGE ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />Draft of Proposed Burnina Ordinance <br />Attorney Courtney read In Its entirety AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />NO.8, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE AIR POLLUTION CONTROL REGULATION 8, <br />AND PROHIBITING OPEN BURNING IN ARDEN HILLS, AND IMPOSING PENALTIES <br />FOR VIOLATION. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hollenhorst and seconded by Councilman <br />Ronald Herrick that the rules be waived and that the Council adopt <br />the ordinance as read; motion carried unanImously. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney was requested to report the Council's action to the <br />Director of Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, enclosing a copy of <br />the ordinance, as adopted. <br /> <br />Proposed Auto Lease <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed the provisions of the lease agreement and <br />advIsed the CouncIl to obtain a second quotation for comparison. The <br />matter was re-referred to the Public Safety Committee and Attorney <br />Courtney for evaluation. <br /> <br />Philip Sampson Property <br />Attorney Courtney reported that, according to the Ramsey County <br />Treasurer, $24.65 was levied agaInst the described property for payment <br />In 1970. He further reported that EngIneer Donald Lund advises that <br />no part of the sanitary sewer project was allocated to this property <br />and that $405.00 was assessed for the water project. <br /> <br />It was moved byCounciiman Ronald Herrick and seconded by Counctlman <br />Stanley Olmen that the Council pay the taxes and assessments due and <br />payable on the property In 1970; to abate the balance of the water <br />assessments payable in succeeding years; closing costs to be paid <br />by the VIllage of Arden Hills. The motion was carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney was requested to advise Mr. Sampson's attorney of <br />the Council's actIon. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer ACQUisition of Sanitary Sewer Easement 12-12 and <br />Sanltarv Sewer Easement l2-4 <br />After discussion of the negotiations, It was moved by Councilman E. <br />Gray Henderson that the Council approve the Earnest Money Contract, <br />as submitted, seconded by Councilman Stanley Olmen; motIon carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />--. <br />
