Crepeau, Jr. at <br />8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Stanley Olmen, <br />John Hollenhorst, E. Gray Henderson and Ronald Herrick <br />Absent: None <br />A'so Present: Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist, Attorney <br />Vincent P. Courtney, Engineer Donald Lund, Maintenance <br />Supervisor Everett Beecher and Assistant Clerk, Administration <br />Dorothy Zehm <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of Monday, April 27, 1970 <br />were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Ouderkirk. 3564 North Snel IlnQ Avenue <br />Mr. Paul Ouderkirk advised the Council of a proposed Village picnic <br />to be held at Tony Schmidt Park on Memorial Day, May 30, 1970. The <br />picnic will be arranged by V. F. W. Post No. 6889 with assistance <br />from the Arden Hills Jaycees. The picnic will commence at about <br />11:30 a.m. after the Memorial Day Services and Parade, which will <br />terminate at Tony Schmidt Park. Mr. Ouderkirk Invited the Council <br />members and their families to participate In the activities. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />Ordinance Draft - Adoption of Minnesota Plumbln~ Code <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hollenhorst that AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING <br />BY REFERENCE THE MINNESOTA PLUMBING CODE AND PROVIDING PENALTIES <br />FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, be Introduced by title and referred to the <br />Plumbing Inspector for a written report Indicating any areas In <br />contradiction to the Building Code, seconded by Councilman Stanley <br />Olmen. carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ordinance ProvldlnQ Alternate Members to PlannlnQ Commission <br />Attorney Courtney read the ordinance In Its entirety. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hoilenhorst that the rules be waived <br />and AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 122 AND AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 95, RE THE PLANNING COMMISSION, TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINTMENT <br />AND POWERS OF ALTERNATES, be given Its second and final reading <br />and be approved. seconded by Councilman Ronald Herrick. motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Clerk Administrator was requested to prepare the ordinance In Its <br />final form for publication.) <br /> <br />Proposed Service Station Ordinance - Third ROUQh Draft <br />Attorney Courtney read portions of the ordinance where changes occur <br />and commented on the various proposed changes, as outlined In his <br />letter of April 30, 1970. <br /> <br />After discussion of the proposed changes, It was moved by Councilman <br />John Hollenhorst that AN ORDiNANCE REQUIRING SPECiAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />AUTOMOBILE SERVICE STATIONS, PROVIDING FOR LICENSING REGULATIONS FOR <br />THEIR OPERATION: ESTABLISHING LICENSE FEES THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING <br />PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION, be approved as amended. seconded by <br />Councilman Ronald Herrick. motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Attorney Courtney was requested to prepare the ordinance In Its <br />final form for publication.) <br /> <br />-. <br />
