March 9, 1970 .. 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Call to Order and Rol I Call <br />Mayor Crepeau called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Crepeau, Councl I mer. Oimer., Hoilenhorst, Henderson <br />and Herrick <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist, Treasurer <br />Worth G. Read, Attorney Vincent P. Courtney, Engineer <br />Donald Lund, Maintenance Supervisor Everett Beecher and <br />Deputy Clerk Florence M. Honan <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The Minutes of the Regular Counci I Meeting of February 23, 1970, <br />were approved as amended. <br /> <br />BUSiNESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Proposed Ski Shop Plans - Wegleitner <br />Mr. Wegleitner presented revised plans for a proposed ski shop to <br />be constructed at County Road E and Lexington Avenue, which the <br />Council referred to the Planning Commission and the Planning <br />Consultant Carl Dale. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />Arden Hi lis - RosevilieSanltary Sewer Contract <br />Attorney Courtney reported that this contract was ready for approval <br />In April 1969; forma! approval was withheld pending the submission <br />of Exhibit 3, which has now been received. Engineer Lund's letter, <br />dated February 5, 1970, itemized segments of Exhibit 3, which <br />were studied by the Village, prior to this meeting, and were <br />determined to be In accordance with the contract. <br /> <br />Councilman Olmsn moved, seconded by Councilman Herrick, the adoption <br />of a Resolution, as attached, formally approving the Rosevil Ie - <br />Arden Hills Sewer Contract; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Councilman Herrick, approval <br />of the payment of $21,875.30 for St. Paul and Rosevllle for sewer <br />charges for the period from July!, 1965 to September 30, 1969; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council requested Attorney Courtney to prepare an ordinance ~raft <br />to repeal obsolete sewer ordinances. <br /> <br />\. <br /> <br />Water Improvement 68-2 and 68-3. Revised Summary Report <br />Councilman Herrick moved, seconded by Councilman Henderson, to <br />approve an Intermediate Revised Project Summary Report, dated <br />March 9, 1970, and directed Mrs. Lorraine Stromquist to submit <br />the report to HUD; motion carried unanimously. A final Project <br />Summary Report will be made to HUD at the end of the Improvement. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer No. ~, Easements 12-1 and i2~ <br />Councl'man Herrick moved, seconded by Councilman Henderson; approval <br />of a Resolution, as attached, authorIzing the Village Attorney <br />to commence condemnation procedures, If necessar~ on Easements <br />12-1 and 12-3 Included In Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. M2; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />State Anti-Crime Program <br />Mayor cropeau, Attorney Courtney and Counci !man Herrick met In- <br />formalfy with Mr. Westerlund, Metro Council Staff, on March 3 and <br />received an application for funds. <br /> <br />The Councl I referred to the Public Safety Committee the matter of <br />pursuing the fl ling of an application for anti-crime funds as soon <br />as possible. Attorney Courtney to obtain additional material about <br />the program and present It to the Committee. <br /> <br />--.-- <br />
