Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Robert Woodburn, <br />Char'es Crichton, James Wingert, Ward Hanson. <br />Absent - None. <br />Also Present - Parks DIrector John Buckley (9:30 p.m.). Clerk <br />Administrator Charlotte McNlesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy <br />Zehm. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that the Minutes of the Regular <br />Council Meeting of February 14, 1977, be approved as amended. Motion <br />carried unanlmous!y. <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None. <br /> <br />Ramsey CounTY Sheriff Report <br />George Weber, Fred Spencer and Tom Falvey of the Ramsey County Sheriff <br />Department were presen~ at CouncIl's Invltatlon,to provide information <br />relative to Ramsey County Sheriff Contract service for Council's infor- <br />mation. <br /> <br />Copies of an estimated budget, and sample of monThly reports of cases <br />Investigated In sIx cities now contracting wIth Ramsey County, were <br />distributed to the Council. <br /> <br />In discussion, County representatives described County services pro- <br />vided - Juvenile Dept., detectives, lab service, criminal Identifica- <br />tion (use St. Paul Pollee Lab.), Jail facilities, County warrant office, <br />central radio (Rice Streetl, training In emergency medical services, <br />shooting range, etc.; noted that other than Juv~nlle and detective <br />services, other facilities are available to municipal poi~ce depart- <br />ments as well. <br /> <br />After a question and answer period re many aspects of contract service <br />ys. City's police department, Council expressed Its appreciation to <br />Ramsey County representatives for their time and Information re County <br />contract services. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSiNESS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Request to Attend MFOA Seminar - Treasurer Donald lamb <br />Hanson moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council authorize the payment <br />of the $75.00 seminar fee for Treasurer Lamb at M.F.O.A. Seminar on <br />Flnanciai Management to be held In Atlanta, Georgia, April 17-21. <br />Motion carried unanimously.. <br /> <br />Bid Award - Used HI Pressure Sewer Cleaner <br />Council was referred to memo from Johansen (2/16/77) recommending <br />acceptance of bid from Flexible Pipe Tool Company. <br /> <br />WOOdburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Councl I award the bid for <br />a used Hi-pressure Sewer Cleaner to FlexIble Pipe Tool Company In the <br />amount of $6800.00. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation Request re Issue Identification <br />for Comprehensive Transportation Plan <br />McNlesh referred Council to letter of 2/8/77 requesting City's response <br />on the most appropriate role of state government In any or all trans- <br />portation Issues. <br /> <br />After discussion Woodburn was appointed as Arden Hills' Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation Plan (Mn./DOT/Plan) liaison. <br /> <br />Reso~utlon No. 17-11.
