Crepeau, Jr., Counclimen Charles Crichton, <br />Robert Woodburn, Wiliiam Feyerelsen. <br />Absent - Councilman James Wingert. <br />Also Present - Treasurer Donald laMb. Parks Olrector John Buckley, Bul hl- <br />Ing Inspector Larry Squires, Clerk Administrator Charlotte <br />McNlesh. Oeputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Councii approve the <br />Minutes of the Reqular Council Meeting of March 8, 1976 and the <br />Special Council Meeting of March 15,1976, as arY'ended. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF PARKS DIRECTOR JOHN BUCKLEY <br /> <br />Tree Inspector <br />After review of memo from Buckley (3/19/76) and discussion, Crichton <br />moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council authorize the hiring of <br />Mark Petersen as Tree Inspector at $4.50/hour; dates and hours of <br />employment to be directed by Buckley as outlined In his memo of <br />3/19/76. Motion carried unanimouSly. <br /> <br />(Buckley was requested to report to Council re currant State parti- <br />cipation in diseased tree removal and how to quaiify.) <br /> <br />Mounds View Tennis Courts liqhts <br />Buckley referred Counci I to his memo (3/19/76) re Income and Expense <br />of the Mounds View tennis court lights. <br /> <br />After discussion, Crichton moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Council <br />authorize an increase in meter fee to SOt/ t hour (lights 2 courts <br />simultaneously). Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ballfield Improvements <br />Buckley referred Councl I to his memo of 3/19/76 re Improvement of <br />Ballflelds on Schooi Property and Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> <br />Matter was deferred pending recommendations of Parks and Recreation <br />Committee (meeTing on Apri I 13th) and Attorney lynden's review of <br />Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Recommendations for Site Improvements of Vi llage Parks <br />Buckley referred Counci I to several recommonded Park Site Improve- <br />ments for Council's consideration; noted that six, additional park <br />sites, not inciuded at this time are Floral Park, the park acquired <br />from C. G. Rein (Hazelnut Patch), Cummings Park and proposed park <br />areas at TCCH, Round lake and Snelling triangle (south of STH 96). <br /> <br />Matter was deforred <br />datlons re ~~i , . <br />r . G. Rei~ "Hazel Nut Park". Motion carrledunanimouSiy. <br /> <br />Yazoo In-Service Workshop <br />Feyereisen moved, seconded by Crichton, that Counci I authorize Jack <br />Kramer's aTtendance at the Yazoo In-Service Workshop on Aprl 15th, <br />as outlined In memo from Buckley (3/19/76).
