<br />~ ... <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, February 9, 1976 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Ca II to Order. <br />The meeting was cal led to order by Mayor Crepeau at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present - Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Charles Crichton, <br />William Feyerelsen, James Wingert. Robert Woodburn. <br />Absent - None. <br />Also Present - Village Attorney James Lynden, Treasurer Donald <br />Lamb, Public Works Supervisor Hans Johansen, Clerk <br />Administrator Charlotte McNlesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy <br />Zehm. <br /> <br />~ Approval of Minutes <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that the Minutes of the <br />Special Councl I Meeting of February 2, 1976, be approved as sub- <br />mitted. Motion carried Unanimously. <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR HANS JOHANSEN <br /> <br />Pickup Truck <br />Johansen referred Council to his memo of 2/6/76 re quotes received <br />for proposed replacement of damaged 1973 Chevrolet pickup: <br /> <br />G. M. C ., 14p Is. <br />White Bear Dodge <br /> <br />$2,908.78 <br />2,445.00 <br /> <br />After discussion, Crichton moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that <br />Council authorize the truck purchase from White Bear Dodge at a <br />cost of $2,445.00, as described In Johansen Memo of 2/6/76. Motion <br />carried unanimouSly. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY JAMES LYNDEN <br /> <br />Connelly Avenue Status Report <br />Lynden referred Councl I to his letter of 2/9/76 re Connelly Avenue <br />Vacation and Indicated on a map the portions of Connelly Avenue <br />which will be the subject of the Guardian's Deed, conveying the <br />portions of Connelly Avenue still owned by the ZI Illoxes, to Fla- <br />herty's Arden Bowl, Inc. <br /> <br />Lynden advised that attorneys fees to resolve the title problem <br />have been estimated at $120-$150; City Is being asked to contribute <br />from $60 to $75. Lynden recommended Counci I 's approval of a maxi- <br />mum contribution of $75. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council <br />authorize the $60 to $75 payment of attorney fees as recommended <br />by Attorney lynden. MotIon carried (Wingert, Crichton, Woodburn, <br />Crepeau voting in favor of the motion; Feyerelsen abstaining). <br /> <br />Resolution No. 76-15, Abating Assessments on Park Lands Acquired <br />from C. G. Re i n <br />Lynden referred Counc! I to his letter of 2/9/76 and attached <br />Resolution. <br /> <br />After discussion, Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council <br />adopt Resolution No. 76-15, RESOLUTION CANCELING INSTALLMENT OF <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS PAYABLE IN 1976 AND ABATING BALANCE OF SPECIAL <br />ASSESSMENTS AGAINST PROPERTY ACQUiRED FROM C. G. REIN CO. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />C. G. Rein landscape Agreement (Dreyfus and I. C. Systems) <br />Lynden reported that I. C. Systems objects to the granting of a <br />perpetual easement; prefers a license agreement, which was the other <br />alternative provided for in the Special Use Permit. I. C. Systems' <br />attorney wll I revise agreement; Lynden will review and submit It <br />to Council for consideration. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
