<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />.r:? ~_. r' <br />.-:; 'C.'-" <br />/, <br /> <br />Extract of Minutes of Meeting <br />of City Council <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> <br />April 29, 1985 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br /> <br />of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, was <br /> <br />duly held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, April 29, <br />1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members of the Council were present: Mayor <br /> <br />Woodburn and Council members Sather, Peck and Hansenl and the <br /> <br />following were absent: Councilman Hicks. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were Clerk-Administrator McNiesh, <br /> <br />Deputy Clerk Zehm, Engineer Christoffersen, Treasurer Lamb, <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Raddatz, and Parks Director Buckley. <br />Engineer Christoffersen described the two alternatives <br />(surcharge method and replacement method) available to the City <br /> <br />in preparing the low areas of Hamline Avenue for future <br /> <br />construction on Hamline Avenue between State Trunk Highway No. 96 <br /> <br />and Floral Drive and recommended that the surcharge method be <br /> <br />used. <br /> <br />He described the surcharge technique in detail. <br /> <br />He <br /> <br />explained that it would cause some settlement which might cause <br /> <br />damage to the street surfacing and concrete curb and gutter, any <br />of which damage he expected to be minor, and stated that the <br />surcharging would cost less than completely removing the swamp <br /> <br />material. <br /> <br />He said that the telephone, electric and cable companies <br />would be notified of the surcharging so that they could protect <br />
