NANCE N0. 108 AN ORDIN/1NCE PROHIBiTING UNREASONABLE ACCELERATION OF MOTOR VEH9 CLES 9PJ ARDEN H( LLS ANQ_PRQV IQ ING_PENAL7 P ES 7NEREFOR_ The Vitlage Council ot Arden Hf91s does ordain as follows: Section_1. Unreasonabie acceleration of any mofior vehicle on any pubOic or private road or way wlthin the Village of Arden Hills, as unreasonable acceleration is herein defined, is hereby declared to be a public nuisance and is prohibi#ed. Section 2. Unreasonable acceleration ot a motor vehicle is hereby defined as acceleration without apparent reason, and accomplished in such manner as fio cause squealing or screeching sounds by the tfres or "i-he throwing of sand or gravel by the tires of said vehicle or both. Prima facie evidence of such unnecessary and unreasonable accelera- tion shall be squealing or screeching sounds emitted by the tires or the throwtng or Sand or gravel by the tires of said vehicle or both. Section 3_ PenaBtY. Any person violafiing any provision of thls ordinance shait be gui4ty of a misdemeanor and shalt be punished by a fine of not to exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of noi- to exeeed 90 days.
