Revision of Delin9nency <br /> Charges. Sectian 3 of Ordinance No. <br /> 103, relating to the munioipal water ays- <br /> , tem of Arden Hills and particularly to <br /> collectian of water charges therefar, <br /> is hereby amended by striking Para- <br /> graphs 3.8 and 3.4 thereof and aubsti- <br /> tuting in their place the follmving: <br /> 3.3 Payment of Charges. Statements <br /> for tata] water charges for the preFeding - quarterly period shall be maile@ by the - Clerk to each Cuatomer on or before <br /> the 6th day of January, April, July and <br /> Octaber of each year. Such statements <br /> sha11 be due on the last day of the ` <br /> month following the quarterly pesiod • <br /> covered by such sta.tement. Any prepay- ment or overpayment of eharges may be <br /> retained by the Village and applied on <br /> subsequent quarterly statements. - <br /> 3.4 Collection of Delinquent Charges. <br /> Any amounts due for water charges herr <br /> under may be col]eeted in a civi] action <br /> brought far that purAOSe in the name of <br /> the Village; or the Village C7erk-Admin- <br /> istrator, upon direction thereon by the <br /> Council, may certify to the County Audi- <br /> tor the amount due, together with the <br /> legal descaip2ion' af the premisea served, <br /> and the Clerk-Administrator in so certi- <br /> fying shall add to sueh amount as a seP- <br /> arate item --8 percent thereof as a de- <br /> linquency penalty. The County Auditor <br /> shall thereupon enter such amount as <br /> part of the tax levied on said preznisea - <br /> to be callected during the ensuing yea.r. - <br /> Section 2. Water Meter Deposits. Sec- <br /> tion 4 of Ordinance No. 103, relating tn - the municipa2 water aystem of Arden FIills and particularly to water metera, is hexeby amended to atrike the third <br /> paragraph of Paragraph 4.1 (a) thereof <br /> - - - - and sulawtitute therefor the following: <br /> The security depoait shall be kept <br /> by the Clerk as a credit against the <br /> proTerty upon which the meter is . <br /> instal7ed, without referewce to the own- <br /> , ership af the property. The deposit <br /> sha11 be refunded to the property ownr <br /> er in the event municipal water serv- . , ice to the property is discontinued and - <br /> the service gipe is diseannected at the <br /> stop box and the meter ia removed. <br /> - Remote reading &evices an water met- ~ <br /> ers wil] be re9uired. <br /> Section S.
