STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS ORDINANCE NO. 106 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDI- NANCE ND. 83, REGARDING PERSON- NEL ADMINISTRATION, CFIANGING SiCK LEAVE PROVISIONS, PERMIT- TING DISCRETIONARY SICK LRe1VE, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF ' HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFfTS. THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS DOES • HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: - Section 1. Amendment of Ordina.nce - No. E3, Section 3, Subdivision C(3) of . , - Ordinance No. 83 is hereby amended to ' -rea(} as follaws: , Sick leave pay will be granted accord- - . , - . ing to accumulated earned service cied- . it, after one year's employment, at the _ rate of one daY a month, twelve days a ' - year, but in no event shati sick leave be . . accumulated beyond a maximum of 120 , - days. , - - Notwithstanding the foregoing, the- Council ma,y; in ite discretion, grant ad- ditional sick leave pay to a Village em- - - ployee in the event the Council finds . that extension of the normal sick leave . - allowance is justified becaase of hard- ship to the employee. In addition to the particular hardship the Council shall con- - - sider the length of service ofthe em- - ployee, and emergency extension of the , sick leave allowance shall not be granted unless the employee has been in the em- - . - , . ploy of the Village at least one calendar - year vehethe'r- part-time or full-time. . " Section 2. Hesith lnaurance Benefita. - ' - Section 3 of Ordinance No. 83 is hereby , amended to add thereto the following as Sul7division G. . to-wit: - • Subdivision G. Health Inaurance Bene- fits. The Council may, in its discretion, provide hea]th ineurance benefits for em- , - pluyeea of the Village. The.details of any such p]an and the payments to be made by the Fillage,thereunder may be ap- - pxoved bv the Council by Resolution from time to time. The maximum payment bv , the Village shall be made for full-time . employees, with payments on behalf of - - - ~ nart-time employees to be based upon the - hours wot•ked, subject to Council approv- al. Section 3. Retroactivity. The provisions _ in the first paragraph of Seetion 1 here- of shall be effective as of April 1, 1968 - and the provisions of the" second para- - - - yraph of Section 1 shall be effective as - - ' of January 1, 1968.
