' <br /> . <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> CITY UF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 225 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ARDEN HILLS COI?E BY <br /> CREATING A NEW DIVISION 4 IN ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 4 <br /> THEREOF ENTITLED "GAMBLING DEVICES", WHICH CONTAINS <br /> PROVISIONS FOR THE LICENSING AND REGULATION OF THE <br /> OPERATION OF CERTAIN GAMBLING DEVICES; AND <br /> PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Arden Hills hereby <br /> ordains: <br /> Section 1. Amendment to Article I of Chapter 4 of the <br /> Arden Hills Code by Adding a New Division 4 Thereto Entitled <br /> "Gambling Devices". Article I of Chapter 4 of the Arden Hills <br /> Code is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Division 4 which <br /> is entitled and reads as follows: <br /> <br /> "DIVISION 4. GAMBLING DEVICES. <br /> Sec. 4-25. Definition of gambling device. <br /> <br /> The term 'gambling device' as used herein means <br /> those devices known as 'paddlewheels', 'tipboards', <br /> 'pull-tabs' (or 'ticket jars'), or apparatus used <br /> in conducting 'raffles' as those various devices <br /> are described and defined in Section 349.26 of <br /> Minnesota Statutes, as amended. <br /> Sec. 4-26. Incorporation by reference of Section <br /> 349.26 of Minnesota Statutes, as <br /> amended. <br /> <br /> Unless the provisions of Chapter 13 and of this <br /> Division 4 of Article I of Chapter 4 of the Arden <br /> Hills Code are inconsistent, in which case those <br /> provisions shall control, all the terms, provisions <br /> and subdivisions of Section 349.26 of Minnesota <br /> Statutes, as amended--which regulate and provide <br /> for the licensing of the operation of gambling <br /> devices--are hereby adopted and incorporated herein <br /> by reference. <br /> Sec. 4-27. License required. <br /> No person shall keep, operate, maintain or <br /> permit to be operated or maintained upon premises <br /> within his direct or indirect control any gambling <br /> device without having first procured a gambling <br /> device license. <br /> Sec. 4-28. License fee. <br /> <br /> As provided in Section 13-24 of the Arden Hills <br /> Code, the fee for various types of gambling device <br /> licenses shall be established in a resolution from <br /> time to time adopted by the Council. <br />
