<br />~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />March 16, 2009 <br /> <br />Agenda Item I.D <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Michelle Olson, Parks and Recreation Manager <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />CIP Discussion - 2010-2014 <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Staff has continued to review and revise the City's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) based upon <br />previous direction from Council and further financial analysis. Attached are the current CIP <br />worksheets for 2010-2014. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />2010 Projects <br /> <br />County Road E Sidewalk Improvement ($290,,000): The City originally approved a sidewalk to <br />go on the north side of the road. The development of this sidewalk/path will depend completely <br />on the bridge improvements in 2009. <br /> <br />Old Highway 10 Sidewalk Improvements - CP Rail ($214,,000): If discussions and plans go <br />ahead as planned, the CP Rail pedestrian improvement is scheduled to happen in 2010 on the <br />west side. <br /> <br />City Trail Signage ($10,,000): The PTRC will be discussing a trail signage plan at their March <br />17, 2009 meeting and this amount will depend on how things proceed in 2009 with the first <br />portion of this project. <br /> <br />Valentine Park Improvements ($315,,000): On February 9,2009, the City Council received the <br />Valentine Park Drainage Study done by WSB, Inc. The City Council asked staff to review the <br />final report with the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Committee for their input, schedule at least <br />one more public meeting and research possible funding possibilities for this project.
