<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 25, 2014 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled <br />meeting of June 25, 2014 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Member King <br /> Council Member Jeff Paar <br />Council Member Ben Fehrenbacher <br /> Council Member D. Love <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> None <br /> <br />STAFF: <br /> City Administrator Dallas Larson <br /> City Engineer Mark Statz <br /> Legal Counsel Kurt Glaser <br /> Finance Director, Ellie Paulseth <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />III. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br /> <br />1.Centerville Lions, Mr. Greg Kieselhorst reviewed the scheduled 2014 Fete des <br />Lacs activities stating that the Lions and Kelly’s Korner would be co-sponsoring <br />the street dance within Kelly’s parking lot, and fencing will be installed around <br />the outside perimeter, port-a-potties, tables and chairs will be set up within that <br />area. The Lions are requesting that the City waive the fees for their requested On- <br />Sale Temporary Liquor License, Noise and Raffle permits. Mr. Kieselhorst stated <br />that there was concern for mingling of patrons between the bar and the parking lot <br />where the Lions would be selling their alcohol. Attorney Glaser stated that the <br />Lions could apply for a temporary license that would cover the interior of the <br />building and the parking lot allowing patrons to mingle between the two <br />locations. Mr. Kieselhorst stated that parking would be at the Centerville <br />Elementary School for the event. <br /> <br />Council Member King questioned police presence at the event. Mr. Kieselhorst <br />stated that the police department would provide a Community Service <br />Officer/Reserve and the patrol officer would be aware of the event similar to if the <br />dance was held at the park. Mr. Kieselhorst stated that all 21 and over clients <br />would be wristbanded inside and outside of the premises. <br /> <br />
