CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> November 28, 2018 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City <br /> Council meeting of November 28, 2018 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Jeff Paar <br /> Council Member King <br /> Council Member Russ Koski <br /> Council Member Love <br /> Council Member Matt Montain <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Paar called to order 6:30 p.m. <br /> II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Mayor Paar stated that Consent Agenda Item 41 should read November 15 through November 28 <br /> instead of October 24 through November 14 and Check 432271-32294 rather than Check <br /> 432271-32287, he added Check 432295-32301 and stated that an Employee Long Term <br /> Disability handout was added at the end of the packet. <br /> He provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Montain to Approve the <br /> Agenda as Submitted. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> IV. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br /> 1. None <br /> V. PUBLIC INPUT ON 2019 BUDGET & TAX LEVIES (TNT HEARING) <br /> Finance Director Bruce DeJong reviewed a presentation with Council and stated that Council is <br /> providing information to the public regarding the 2019 Budget and Tax Levy. He stated that the <br /> General Fund budget is proposed to decrease slightly by $8,000 from the previous year. The debt <br /> service levy is set to decrease approximately $71,000 and the general levy was increased <br /> approximately $23,000. This equates to a net total levy decrease of$48,342, or 1.75% below the <br /> tax levy for 2018. <br />
