<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 14, 2019 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held a scheduled City Council Work <br />Session on August 14, 2019 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor Jeff Paar <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso <br />Council Member Matt Montain <br />Council Member D. Love <br /> <br />ABSENT: None. <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br /> Finance Director Bruce DeJong <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Paar called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Lakso to Approve the <br />Agenda as Submitted. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />I. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />1. Residents of Cottonwood Court – Noise Impact Statement <br /> <br />th <br />Ms. Tammy Bednar, 7068 Cottonwood Court, stated that the noise and vibrations from 7087 – 20 <br />Avenue South, (Alex’s Landscaping) are disturbing and a nuisance. She stated that recently she <br />had to reposition wall hangings three (3) times, she is worried that something will fall off the walls <br />and that she has been living with this noise for three (3) years. <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Jillian Thorson, 7048 Cottonwood Court, stated that she has lived at the address for eleven <br />(11) years and finds the business to be noisy and disruptive to the neighborhood. She stated that <br />it is very difficult to have their windows open without encountering noise from the business. She <br />stated that often times boulders are being dropped into metal containers/trucks, heavy equipment <br /> <br />
