<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 23rd day of May, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Klausing, and Council Members Ihlan, <br />Kough, Maschka, and Schroeder <br /> <br />Council Member Schroeder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10308 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 5 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.016 OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR LOT 2, BLOCK 1, OAKCREST ESTATES <br />GEFF BROWN - DEVELOPER) 2550 HAMLINE AVENUE (PF3604) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jeff Brown (Developer for Oakcrest Estates) has requested a VARIANCE to <br />Section 1004.016 (Residential Dwelling Dimensions - Rear Yard Setback) of the Roseville City <br />Code to allow a future home to be constructed 5 feet from the property line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property is legally described as: <br /> <br />Lot 2, Block 1, Oakcrest Estates <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.016 (Residential Dimensional Requirements - Rear Yard <br />Setback) requires a minimum principal structure side yard setback of 30 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Brown would establish a 25 foot rear yard setback along <br />the south property line, due to the increases (40 foot width to 60 foot width) Excel overhead <br />power line easement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 4, 2005 concluding <br />that "hardships" are present and support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of <br />the Roseville City Code; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to <br />approve a 5 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.016 (Residential Dimensional Requirements - <br />Rear Yard Setback) along the south property line allowing the future construction of a single <br />family home on Lot 2, Block 1, Oakcrest Estates, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The dimensions of Lot 1 shall be reduced to 111 feet by 124.78 feet and a lot <br />size of 13,851 sq. ft. and the building pad reduced to 46 feet by 64 feet or <br />2,944 sq. ft. <br /> <br />1 <br />
