<br /> <br />Variance Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes - Wednesday, June 1, 2011 - 6:00 p.m. <br />1. Call to Order <br />Chair Gisselquist called to order the Variance Board meeting at approximately 6:00 p.m. and <br />reviewed the role and purpose of the Variance Board. <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />Members Present: Chair John Gisselquist, and Commissioners Michael Boguszewski, <br />Peter Strohmeier, and Jeff Lester <br />Staff present: Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd <br />3. Review of Minutes <br />MOTION <br />Member Gisselquist moved, seconded by Member Boguszewski, to approve meeting <br />minutes of October 6, 2010 as presented OR as amended. <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />4. Organizational Business <br />Elect Variance Board Chairperson and determine who will be the Alternate Member of <br />the Variance Board. <br />At the request of Chair Gisselquist, Associate Planner Lloyd briefly reviewed the role of the <br />Alternate in filling in for a member unable to attend a Variance Board meeting; and to attend <br />when possible in the audience or otherwise remain aware of happenings of the Variance <br />Board. <br />Chair Gisselquist advised that he had served as the Chair of the Variance Board previously; <br />but was open to someone else taking on that role; and if not, he was amenable to volunteer to <br />serve as Chair again. <br />MOTION <br />Member Boguszewski moved, seconded by Member Strohmeier, to elect Member <br />Gisselquist as Chair of the Variance Board for 2011, with the term ending March 31, <br />2012. <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />Member Strohmeier volunteered to serve as Vice Chair. <br />MOTION <br />Member Lester moved, seconded by Member Boguszewski, to elect Member Strohmeier <br />as Vice Chair of the Variance Board for 2011, with the term ending March 31, 2012. <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />After a brief discussion, Member Boguszewski volunteered to serve as a regular <br />member of the Variance Board; and Member Lester concurred with that he would prefer <br />to serve as an Alternate at this time, due to his current work and travel schedule. <br /> <br />
