Review of Regular Meeting Agenda 5:30 - 5:34 p.m. <br />Council lVIembers had no questions at this time about the Regular Meeting <br />Regular Meeting Agenda. Agenda Review <br /> <br />II. Additional Staff Presentations <br />A. Roselawn Crematory Discussion Roselawn Crematory <br />Tom Radio, attorney for Roselawn Cemetery <br />Association, introduced himself and the President of the <br />Roselawn Cemetery Board of Directors. Radio asked if <br />the City Council was interested in rehearing the Council <br />Use Permit (CUP) application for a crematory at <br />Roselawn Cemetery. Local morticians, he said, support <br />a crematory. He noted that another Roselawn option <br />includes litigation. As for the environmental impact of a <br />crematory, Roselawn would consider retaining an <br />independent firm to do an environmental risk <br />assessment. If the study showed no appreciable <br />environmental or public health risk, then the Roseville <br />City Council, he said, should grant their CUP <br />application. <br /> <br />Schroeder asked about the standards for conducting <br />environmental studies of crematories. <br />Maschka commented on the lack of regulatory standards. <br />Kough asked if Council could approve the consultant <br />who would conduct the study, and who would pay for <br />the consultant. <br />Gary Hirsch, resident, commented on the unanswerable <br />questions about crematories that concern neighbors.
