<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 17th day of June 2002, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Kough, Klausing, Schroeder, Maschka, Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Schroeder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10008 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01A6 (MAXIMUM <br />TOTAL SURFACE AREA) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 2959 MATILDA STREET (PF 3399). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Robert Lindholm has requested a variance to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum <br />Total Surface Area) of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of a detached accessory <br />building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Lindholm's property is located at 2959 Matilda Street and legally <br />described at as: <br /> <br />Lot 5, Block 6, Kroiss Northwood Addition, Plat 2 (PID#012923130037) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A6 affords each single family property owner in Roseville <br />impervious coverage not to exceed 30% of the parceVlot size; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Lindholm has sought approval of a detached accessory structure <br />(garage) 864 square feet in size, which building would increase the impervious coverage on the <br />parceVlot to 3,827 square feet or an overage of 533 square feet (5%); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the <br />variance request by Mr. Lindholm and recommended (5-0) to approve the request, based on <br />findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated 6/05/02. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Robert <br />Lindholm a 533 square foot or 5% variance to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total Surface <br />Area) of the Roseville City Code based on the findings in Section 5 ofthe project report dated <br />June 17,2002 and the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. The maximum detached accessory building total of 864 square feet with a <br />dimensional design or 24 feet wide by 36 feet deep. <br /> <br />b. No additional building coverage on the parcel such as the typical 120 square foot <br />garden shed (allowed under Section 1004.01A2) <br /> <br />1 <br />
