<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic <br />Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the 9th day of June, 2003, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Klausing, Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and <br />Kysylyczyn <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10104 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONDEMNATION OF LAND FOR ROAD <br />RIGHT OF WAY, TERRACE DRIVE EXTENSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has approved the Planned Unit Development Concept Site <br />Plan with United Properties Investments LLC, concerning the Applewood Pointe <br />development at 2800 Arona Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 2800 Arona Street is going to be developed from vacant land into <br />128 units of a mix of housing and park areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of said development, the population of 2800 Arona Street <br />property will increase, as will the amount of vehicular traffic; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the only ingress and egress point in existence for Applewood Pointe <br />is Arona Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with the development and concomitant population and traffic <br />increase, the City feels that an additional ingress and egress point is necessary for safety <br />reasons; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Fire Marshall has indicated that an additional access <br />point needs to be added to the 2800 Arona property for safety reasons due to the <br />Applewood Pointe project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in light of the existing surrounding development, street layout and <br />topographical features, the second access point must be an extension of Terrace Drive to <br />the west towards the Applewood Pointe development and connecting to Arona Street; and <br />
