<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council ofthe City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 14th day of June, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Schroeder, Maschka, Thlan, Kough, Klausing <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10222 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR AKPENE <br />ASEMPA TO ALLOW AN ADULT DAY CARE AT 1895 RICE STREET (PF3570). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Akpene Asempa in cooperation with Jeffery Kissel seeks approval of a <br />Conditional Use Permit to allow a portion ofthe multi-tenant building at 1895 Rice Street to be <br />used as an adult day care; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; the property located at 1895 Rice Street is legally described as: <br /> <br />The South 90 feet of Lot 3 and all of Lot 4 Shady Beach <br />PIN: 13-29-23-41-0003 <br /> <br />WHEREAS; the initial use of the space within the existing structure would be limited to <br />1,150 square feet and include 15 adults for day care and a minimum of 2 staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; the use ofthe property has been determined to meet the criteria set forth <br />within Section 1013.01 <br /> <br />WHERE the Roseville Planning Commission on June 2, 2004 held the public hearing <br />regarding the Akpene Asempa request and unanimously (4-0) recommended approved, subject to <br />5 conditions; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to approve the <br />request by Akepene Asempa and Jeffery Kissel for a CONDITIONAL USE PERMT to allow an <br />adult day care at 1895 Rice Street, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The operation (approximately 1,150 sq. ft. with a minimum of 40 sq. ft. per adult <br />and staff present at any time) shall be an adult day care center only. (No children). <br />The center will be operated from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. <br />Exterior seating or patio areas must be separated by fence or parking curbs from <br />parking areas. <br /> <br />1 <br />
