<br />Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />JUNE 15, 2016 <br /> <br />Commissioners: <br /> Chair Wayne Groff, Lisa Carey, Nicole Dailey, Edward Johnson, and <br />Lauren Peterson <br />Youth Commissioners: <br /> Gabriel Cederberg <br />Commissioners Absent: <br />Molli Slade and Elizabeth Hansel <br />Staff Present: <br /> Carolyn Curti <br /> <br />Call to Order/Roll Call <br /> <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Chair Groff <br />requested roll call. <br /> <br />Approve Agenda <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Carey moved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to approve the <br />agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Approve Minutes of May 18 Meetings <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Dailey moved and Commissioner Johnson seconded a motion to approve the <br />May 18, 2016 meeting minutes as presented. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Comment on Items Not on Agenda <br /> <br /> <br />There being no one wishing to address the Commission of items not on the agenda, Chair Groff <br />moved to the next agenda item. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br /> <br />a.Rose Parade <br /> <br />Chair Groff showed the Commission the props that had been used in the 2015 parade and asked <br />Commissioner Dailey to be the choreographer at the parade to ensure everyone knows what they <br />are doing and where to stand. <br /> <br />Ms. Curti stated the HRC had been late with their parade entry in 2016 and this has resulted in <br />the HRC being near the end the parade. The parade coordinators request someone check in by <br />6:00 p.m. and the parade starts at 6:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Chair Groff stated they would be meeting at the high school and the parade ends at City Hall. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dailey stated she would be able to recruit 15-16 people to walk with the HRC. <br /> <br /> <br />
