<br /> <br />Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />NOVEMBER 16, 2016 <br /> <br />Commissioners: <br /> Chair Wayne Groff, Lisa Carey, Nicole Dailey, Molli Slade, Lauren <br />Peterson <br />Youth Commissioners: <br /> Elizabeth Hansel <br />Commissioners Absent: <br />Edward Johnson, John Eichenlaub and Youth Commissioner <br />Gabriel Cederberg <br />Staff Present: <br /> City Manager Pat Trudgeon <br /> <br />Call to Order/Roll Call <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Chair Groff <br />requested roll call. <br /> <br />Approve Agenda <br /> <br />Chair Groff stated the Commission is required to have their elections in April so Item 6.a. will be <br />removed from the agenda. <br /> <br />Mr. Trudgeon stated Commissioner Eichenlaub had requested the discussion on housing in <br />Roseville and he is not in attendance and Item 6.b. could be moved to a future meeting. He <br />stated any discussions the Commission had on housing would have to be focused on how this <br />relates to Human Rights and equality in housing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Carey moved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to approve the <br />agenda as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Approve Minutes of October 19 Meeting <br /> <br />Chair Groff stated in line 63 change “lead” to “lean.” <br /> <br />Youth Commissioner Hansel stated in line 216 change “LGBD” to “LGBT”. <br /> <br />Commissioner Slade moved and Commissioner Dailey seconded a motion to approve the <br />October 19, 2016 meeting minutes as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Comment on Items Not on Agenda <br /> <br />There being no one wishing to address the Commission of items not on the agenda, Chair Groff <br />moved to the next agenda item. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br /> <br />a.Mental Health Forum <br />Commissioner Dailey stated she had talked with Kay King, who puts on Gray Matters through <br />NAMI. She does three presentations: depression, anxiety, and addiction. She usually starts with <br />depression. The dates available would be January 19 or January 23. The Lexington Park <br />Building is available for these dates and would hold 50 people. <br /> <br /> <br />
