Commissioner <br />Bole seconded. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />4) GUIDANT JOHN ROSE MINNESOTA OVAL CONDITION ASSESSMENT <br />REVIEW <br />Commissioner Stoner asked for confirmation that the initial engineer responsible for the <br />OVAL design was the person who conducted the assessment for Stantec. Staff confirmed. <br /> <br />Staff introduced the history of improvements at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL <br />(OVAL) since opening in 1993 (25 years ago). Due to the regional and beyond nature of the <br />OVAL, the capital costs havebeen a joint effort between the State of Minnesota, general <br />contributions and the OVAL user groups. The city has been responsible for the annual <br />operating costs. <br /> <br />The city commissioned Stantec to complete the Condition Assessment Report in order to <br />helpbetter understand the needs, cost estimates and priorities forthe mechanicalcomponents <br />and infrastructureofthe OVAL. <br />Staff provided a photo tour from the OVAL ConditionAssessment Report. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
